The Merchants of Soul project comprised Jay Russell, Bob Enck, & Rod West. From 2004–2006, Jay & Rod tracked Break It Up on
top of Bob's drum arrangements in the basement of a window factory in NJ.
Jay's untimely passing in 2019 prompted this revival & fresh treatment of the tunes. You can donate to Jay's children by sending checks payable to Karen Russell: P.O Box 1161, Bristol PA 19007.
